Long-time Sierra guide Robert “SP” Parker has guided all over the world and considers the north ridge of Lone Pine Peak one of the finest moderate routes he has ever climbed. SP described the route, “Once on the ridge, it’s hard to get lost. A series of towers are ascended to a notch below a big tower. A pitch of 5.4 climbing leads directly out of the notch to just below the nearly flat ridge crest, although you can find easier climbing on the east side of the tower. Four or five fun pitches take you to the summit.”
