Morgan Territory Regional Preserve

Morgan Territory Regional Preserve Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Morgan Territory Road is about as remote as you can get, considering how close to the population centers of the Bay Area it is. This ride will lead you on a tour completely through Morgan Territory. Since the route starts at the main park entrance at a 1,900-foot elevation, it offers the beginner mountain biker a chance to experience high country panoramas without having to undertake the massive climbs to get there. Proceeding initially along the wide and relatively flat fire trails, it suddenly takes you steeply downhill. The trail offers stunning vistas east into the San Joaquin Valley and toward Discovery Bay. The climb back up has several short steep sections, but is generally not very difficult."
