    Saddleback Butte State Park

Saddleback Butte State Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Formerly called Joshua Tree State Park, this 2,955-acre desert preserve offers a 0.5-mile nature trail and a 5.2-mile loop trail to the summit of Saddleback Butte (elevation 3,651 feet).

The trail climbs about 950 feet. Sweeping views, rock formations, and an open Joshua tree forest make the park well worth a visit. Except for ramadas over a few tables in the picnic area, there is no shade in the park. Elevation 2,700 feet. Stay limit fifteen days. Open all year."
