Rancheria Campground Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Rancheria Campground on Huntington Lake is big, handsome, and noisy. The acoustics around camp on the pine-shored lake are such that you can hear a mouse belch at dusk from the south shore. You’ll hear folks laughing on boats at the nearby marina, outboards putting on fishing skiffs, and chaps hammering siding on cottages by the town of Lakeshore. It feels like one big beautiful neighborhood. The campground has been around for a long time, and the sites are screened by pine and brush.
Many are walk-ins along the lake, allowing you to pitch your tent right on the shore. Folks with boats can tie them to a root next to their campsite. The beach slopes gently into the water, which makes for good wading. There are sites back in the woods too for people who want to avoid all the aquatic activity."
