Beautiful relaxing drive across open rolling hills of Greenhorn Mountains into Sequoia National Forest. Abundant spring wildflowers. Open range land; watch for cattle. Many side roads to explore in upper forest areas. Return trip through Kern River Valley is outstanding. Smooth graded road suitable for any SUV. If road is wet, 4WD may be needed, especially on steeper side road to Oak Flat Lookout.
