Samuel P. Taylor State Park Professional Review and Guide
"From an ease-of-hiking standpoint, this 6.5-mile Barnabe Peak loop is close to perfect— like taking the escalator up and the elevator down. An easily graded path starts along a creek where salmon spawn some winters, makes a short detour to a waterfall, then ascends through wooded canyons to the high, grassy slopes of Barnabe Peak. From a viewpoint with sweeping vistas of Point Reyes, Mount Tamalpais, and Bolinas Ridge, you’ll return downhill on a moderately steep fire road through grassland back into woods."
