Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"O’Neill is a 1,700-acre park in the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains. The campground is about 75 percent shaded by oak and sycamore trees. It offers two self-guided nature walks and a nature center. The Trabuco Creek Trail follows a shaded stream from the campground south to Mission Viejo.

Fishing is possible in Trabuco Creek. The trailhead for the Holy Jim Historic Trail is located 2 miles east of the campground. Trail guides for this 1.5-hour self-guided trip are available at the El Cariso Visitor Information Center and the Silverado Fire Station. Stay limit fifteen days. Open all year."
