Torrey Pines State Beach to Seagrove and Powerhouse Parks Professional Review and Guide
"Torrey Pines State Beach is a wide, sandy beach backed by sandstone bluffs. The state beach extends 4.5 miles, from 6th Street in the city of Del Mar to Torrey Pines City Beach north of La Jolla. The beach is divided by Los Penasquitos Creek, a 385-acre saltwater estuary. The wetlands serve as a bird sanctuary and wildlife refuge. To the north, within Del Mar City Beach, is Seagrove and Powerhouse Parks, two adjacent oceanfront parks with paved paths. Seagrove Park is dotted with Torrey pines on a 60-foot tall bluff overlooking the ocean. This hike follows the north portion of Torrey Pines State Beach, from the mouth of Los Penasquitos Lagoon to Seagrove and Powerhouse Parks."
