This is a great hike for both beginners and experienced hikers who are up for more of a challenge. The beginning part offers a nice path that is shaded with beautiful trees. The second half leaves the comfort of the woodsy area and winds you up a very steep hill with a 10-15% grade. If doing this hike in the summer, I recommend that you avoid the hours between 10-2 as it gets extremely toasty! Bring lots of water and a hat. When you reach the top there is a beautiful view of Lake Ramona. The only disappointing part is you are unable to partake in splashing some cold water on your face from the lake. All in all I will definitely do the hike again. Happy trails!
