Irvine & Miners Loop Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"One of the park’s more diverse hikes, the Irvine & Miners Loop offers stunning canyon, forest, and seaside scenery. Beginning near Gold Bluffs Beach, the circuit soon heads into the enchanted surroundings of lushly vegetated Fern Canyon, followed by an extended romp through old-growth redwood forest. Heading toward the coast, the trail follows Squashan Creek through second-growth forest, and then a mile-plus-long stroll along a usually deserted stretch of beach leads back to the trailhead."
