    "Finding the campground: From Troy Meadow Campground (see no. 263 above), continue southeast on FR 22S05 for 8 miles. Turn left (north) onto Kennedy Meadows Road and drive 3 miles.

    About the campground: Kennedy Meadows is situated along the bank of the South Fork of the Kern River, which has been designated a National Wild and Scenic River. Fishing season is May 1 to November 15. The Pacific Crest Trail passes by the campground, allowing hikers to sample the trail north or south. Elevation 6,100 feet. Stay limit fourteen days. Open all year."
