Kennedy Creek Trail Professional Review and Guide

"From shady eucalyptus grove to narrow shoreline path to wide ridgetop trail, this route passes diverse landscapes and takes in far-flung views of the Bay Area. You’ll climb 810 feet on wide East Bay Municipal Utility District trails through grasslands to San Pablo Ridge and then follow the paved ridgecrest trail to Inspiration Point."

A fabulous run up the trail including the spur to the summit at about 1,850 ft. Fabulous views of Silicon Valley in one direction and when you turn 180 degrees it is a gorgeous view of just golden rolling hills with the pacific breezes blowing steadily and rustling the field grasses as the only noises you hear. Stop on the summit and peacefully ponder how important preserving these open spaces should be to us all! The grade is aggressive for a trail run for all but the strongest trail runners but nice for a hike for most people. A combination of irt single track trails and wide fire roads.
