Castle Peaks Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The volcanic turrets and spires of the Castle Peaks form a dramatic backdrop for unlimited exploration, adjacent to a rambling hiking corridor that penetrates deep into the remote northeast corner of the preserve. The aptly named Castle Peaks mark the northeast extension of that steep range of granite and limestone known as the New York Mountains. These jagged peaks are a cluster of dark red and brown spires streaked with white and are made up of volcanic andesite."
