This easy ramble along the scenic shore of Cuyamaca Reservoir visits the Stonewall Mine historic site—not much to look at today, but once the site of a towering mill and the ramshackle mining town of Cuyamaca. In the area covered by this hike, the Cedar Fire only selectively destroyed the trees, so you’ll be still be able to enjoy some pleasantly shaded passages.
