The Maze Professional Reviews and Guides
"Visitors driving through the West Entrance of Joshua Tree are treated to views of outrageously jagged hills on the skyline. The Maze Loop explores some of these peaks and canyons, offering a taste of what makes Joshua Tree National Park famous. The hike travels through the Mojave Desert environment, presents some spectacular views, and passes the unusual Window Rock. This is a new trail and is not always well marked, especially in the Maze. When in doubt, look for cairns or footprints. Although the trip is relatively short, it is not recommended for inexperienced desert navigators at this time. A new parking lot and better trail signs may be in place by the time you do this hike."
