South Face Professional Review and Guide
"The South Face comprises the entire section of Tahquitz to the right of The Edge, which is on the prominent southwest arête forming the definitive border between the West Face and South Face of Tahquitz Rock. The Open Book climbs the crack in the huge dihedral just to the right of The Edge. These distinctive features can be seen from miles away. The South Face is not as tall as other sections of the rock—roughly 300 feet high— but the rock quality is excellent, featuring some of the best granite on the planet."
