Northwest Recess Professional Review and Guide
"The Northwest Recess is the sector of Tahquitz Rock bordered by the North Buttress on the left and the Maiden Buttress on the right. This section of the cliff is noticeably steeper than the Northeast Face, with a vertical rise of about 800 feet, and contains an assortment of Tahquitz’s very best moderate multi-pitch climbs, including The Long Climb (5.8) and Whodunit (5.9). Whodunit can be identified as the very prominent right-facing dihedral extending for almost the entire length of the cliff. The cliff is in the shade most of the morning during the summer months and gets sun in the afternoon."
