Hope Valley Overlook

Hope Valley Overlook Professional Review and Guide

"This walk up a closed fire road takes day hikers on a moderately steep climb of a forested hillside to an overlook at the edge of some vertical cliffs, which offers an expansive view of Hope Valley and the surrounding peaks and ridges. The view is grand in summer, when the tributaries of East Fork Carson River keep the verdant meadows of Hope Valley well watered.

Autumn adds a brilliant touch of gold, when the numerous aspen stands are ablaze with color. Those seeking added adventures may continue along the network of back roads to Burnside Lake or Hawkins Peak or strike off cross-country toward the summit of Pickett Peak for a more expansive view."
