Deep Creek, on the north slope of the mountains, boasts the only genuine hot springs in the San Bernardinos. As many as 20 hikers bathe in the three warm pools beside the cold creek on winter weekends. During the summer, Deep Creek offers swimming holes and sandy beaches near the springs. Overnight camping is prohibited at the hot springs, but you may camp at Bowen Ranch. Please protect the hot springs: do not bring glass and make a special effort to leave the place cleaner than you found it.
