Trinity River Professional Review and Guide
"The Trinity watershed is an amazing place, seemingly made for the fly fisher. It offers great trout opportunities, superb steelhead action, and a nearly pristine setting in most cases. Each section of the river is completely different, so I separate it like this: The lower region, from Weitchpec to Hoopa Valley, is wide-open tidal waters. The middle section, from Willow Creek to Junction City, presents deep pools in a canyon. Finally, the upper reach, from Weaverville to Lewiston Dam, is a small mountain stream. Types of Fish: King salmon (chinook), steelhead, brown trout, silver salmon (off-limits). This fly-fishing chapter describes the "where, when, and how" for fishing in this area. It includes a full-page map and information on the known hatches, suggested equipment to use, the best flies to use, season, limits, nearby accommodations, and camping."
