Devil's Punchbowl Trail

Happy Camp, California

Devil's Punchbowl Trail Professional Review and Guide

"The dramatic Devil’s Punchbowl is revealed at the last moment, after climbing a steep trail and topping a low ridge. It hides below the trail and is surrounded on three sides by steep rock walls. This part of the Klamath Mountains is famous for its botanical diversity. As many as 15 or 16 different species of conifer grow near each other in this area. The Siskiyou Wilderness also boasts an unusually high number of unique plant species that flourish here but cannot grow anywhere else in the world. Terrain: Dirt road and path through dense, mountain forests and along exposed granite ridges."
