"The easy 1.6-mile hike around Madora Lake offers hikers of all ages an opportunity to enjoy the tranquil surroundings of a forested lake. Leave the swimsuit at home, however, as Madora Lake is the domestic water supply for one of the nearby communities and therefore swimming is prohibited. Dogs, horses, bicycles, and motorized vehicles are not allowed on this trail.

A pit toilet, picnic table, and colored map of the trail can be found near the trailhead, which is on the north side of the parking area. Through thick forest composed of grant you a brief glimpse of the forest-Tincense cedars, ponderosa pines, and rimmed lake, the water’s edge lined with red firs, follow the needle-lined path on a willows and reeds."
