Willow Slough Trail Professional Review and Guide
"This ancient valley oak forest is one of the last in California, making it the one of the rarest landscapes in the state. Aside from the trees, many bird species—including the rare sandhill crane—use the preserve as a way station along migratory routes. Others live here full time. Beaver, river otters, and mountain lions also make their homes here. Terrain: Dirt path, dirt road, and boardwalk through old-growth valley, oak woodland."
--Dan Brett, Hike America: Northern California (The Globe Pequot Press).
