"Finding the campground: From the Furnace Creek Visitor Center, drive about 24 miles northwest on CA 190 to Stovepipe Wells Village.

About the campground: The campground is a large gravel parking lot with no trees or other vegetation but a good view of the distant mountains. An adjacent private campground offers hookups. Across CA 190, a short drive leads to the trail into Mosaic Canyon, a twisting canyon featuring polished marble and mosaic-like patterns in its narrow rock walls. Elevation sea level. Stay limit thirty days. Open October through April."
