Death Valley National Park: Dante's View Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Take this scenic drive to a breathtaking view over Death Valley, with an optional short hike up Dante’s Peak. Although it’s neither a long hike, nor the most secluded part of the park, Dante’s View is a must-see destination by any measure. Dante’s Peak offers a relative escape from the crowds and vehicle noise at the Dante’s View parking area below. Vehicle: Passenger car."

Good paved road up to Dante's View. The view up there is worth the drive, its beautiful. So far as the hike goes it is short. Early morning is best for the photography. We were fortunate during our trip, there had been some rain and there was water in the valley floor.

I went up first thing in the morning and had a lovely view of the valley. I was the first one up there and got to hike around the top and enjoy the sunshine and quiet.
