Sunol Wilderness: Little Yosemite Trail Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"This loop is a fine introduction to Sunol Wilderness, one of the gems of the regional park system, and at nearly 7000 acres one of its largest holdings. A scenic trek along the Canyon View Trail, through oak savanna and grassland, brings you to Little Yosemite, a rocky gorge carved by Alameda Creek. Easily accessed on foot, bicycle, or horseback via the Camp Ohlone Road, Little osemite is a popular destination for families with children. The return part of the loop, Camp Ohlone Road, takes you beside the tree-lined creek, especially lovely in fall. (The letters SO, for Sunol/Ohlone, OT, for Ohlone Trail, and numbers in parentheses in the route description below refer to numbered junctions on the park map. These markings can be found on trail posts along the trail.)"
