Chamberlain Falls Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"A cleverly rerouted trail descends to a waterfall and pool in a steep, forested ravine. Secluded but easy to reach, Chamberlain Falls has the feel of a secret hideaway. Located in a dense stand of old-growth redwoods at the head of a steep ravine, with limited parking and no amenities, its appeal is its remoteness.
The waterfall is in the Jackson Demonstration State Forest, a one-of-a-kind forest managed by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. Beginning in the 1860s, logging removed most of the old-growth redwoods and firs. The demonstration forest, established in 1949, manages the forest with sustainable timber harvests."
