An interesting hardcore trail that winds along Holcomb Creek. The Rock Garden begins the trail and sets the stage for what’s ahead. You can explore a difficult side trail through Lower Largo Flats (F.S. 2N06X, not described in this book). There are many ATV and dirt bike trails in the area but green sticker vehicles not allowed on many main forest roads. A Forest Adventure Pass is required if you stop to recreate. No single obstacle stands out on this trail; it’s just one challenging boulder field after another. Narrow and tippy in places. Wet tires add to the difficulty as the trail crosses tributaries to Holcomb Creek. You can also increase difficulty by choosing a more aggressive line through the boulders. This trail is not recommended for stock vehicles. Lockers, high ground clearance and undercarriage protection recommended.

We took a Range Rover Sport(with sliders) and a Full size Rover (sliders/big tires) though this MEAN trail, 9/10 as far as difficulty goes, I'm glad to have made it through with no real damage. We drove it in reverse from this guide, which may be wronge for anybody new to the trail with a stock vehicle. Mogul Hill - 6 Root Hill - 7 Boulder Feild - 8 Rock Garden - 9 almost a 10!

We piked up the trail out of Hana Flats campground. Our rigs are open open cherokees with 3" lifts running 31" tires so we only went in as far as the rock garden. The trail was very do-able with a few off kilter areas but fun.
