Sikes Adobe and Mule Hill Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This short, mostly level hike follows the Mule Hill Trail, a section of the Coast to Crest Trail administered as part of the San Dieguito River Park trail system. The park, designed to preserve as much of a natural setting as possible within the San Dieguito River/Santa Ysabel Creek watershed, stretches about 50 miles between the coastline at Del Mar and Volcan Mountain near Julian.

It follows the perimeter of freshwater wetlands of upper Lake Hodges near a crossroads originally known as Bernardo. A diverse community of birds and other wildlife calls this home."
