Blue Sky Ecological Reserve

Blue Sky Ecological Reserve Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Blue Sky Ecological Reserve takes you into backcountry that includes a walk by a stream that feeds into Lake Poway. With miles of trails, it is easy to spend the day here, hiking in and out of shade before enjoying a dip in the lake. This California state reserve is one of the most frequented in the system because of the variety of hiking experiences it offers, from cool forests to hot, open chaparral to lakeside walks. Kids love to fish off the small pier, while teens head to the lake for an after-school dip. It isnt unusual to see Poway High School cross-country teams practicing along the hills."
