Imagine a hiking, biking, and equestrian trail extending from the coast at Del Mar to the crest of the mountains in mid-San Diego County. Today, certain sections of this 55-mile-long route, known as the Coast to Crest Trail, are already open. These and other future sections of the trail will define the main axis of the San Dieguito River Park

Never made it to the trail as the road (los tules) listed in the book do not exist at the location. Talked to a local sheriff who advised that you may very well be arrested by the local Indian constable for trespassing if you go onto the reservation. After searching on google I found another entry that shows a phone # to call and the proper street name. The print date on my book shows September 2006.

The recreation area of the Los Coyotes reservation is closed for hiking and camping for the next 1-2 years due to construction. See http://loscoyotes.info/ for more information and updates.
