    "Finding the campground: From Emigrant Gap, drive east 4.5 miles on I-80. Exit at CA 20 and drive west 1.5 miles. Turn right (north) onto Lake Spaulding Road and drive 0.5 mile.

    About the campground: Situated in a granite bowl, Lake Spaulding’s cold water provides good trout fishing for rainbows and browns as well as kokanee. A mix of trout fingerlings is stocked annually. Elevation 5,000 feet. Stay limit 14 days. Open May through October."
