Crags Trail

Dunsmuir, California

Crags Trail Professional Review and Guide

"The views of the Crags up close and of Mount Shasta in the distance more than make up for the energy expenditure involved in climbing the trail. The strangely shaped crags and crevices invite exploration, and with steep slopes that plunge into thick forest on all sides, the Crags truly feel like an island in the sky. Be sure to take your sunglasses, because the sun reflecting from the white granite at the summit can be blinding. Terrain: Dirt path through dense coniferous forests and alongside exposed granite formations."
