On your way to Mesquite Springs, stop at the legendary Mad Greek’s Restaurant in Baker for the lunch of your life. The souvlaki is unforgettable. However, if you can’t bear Greek, there’s always Bun Boy, a desert “oasis” of sorts since 1926, open 24 hours a day and offering burgers, fries, and their famous strawberry pie. Remember, your last chance to fuel up is 51 miles from the campground in Furnace Creek.
