Waddell Creek Out-and-Back

Waddell Creek Out-and-Back Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This is a pleasant ride along Waddell Creek, the coastal access for Big Basin Redwoods State Park. In a coastal range of steep climbs and quick descents, this is one of the easier rides into the woods. The trail meanders along the cool and lush creek among cottonwoods, alders, redwoods, and ferns. Bring a lock for the bike rack at the end and take the fifteen-minute hike to picturesque Berry Creek Falls. The elevation at the bike rack is only 300 feet, but there are some gradual ups and downs along the way. Trail surface: 90 percent graded dirt road, 7 percent paved road, and 3 percent singletrack."
