Paradise Valley Loop Trail

Paradise Valley Loop Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The rugged mountains of the Carson–Iceberg and Emigrant Wildernesses form a dramatic backdrop for the miles of rich green meadows traversed on this scenic loop. Your route follows the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) south along the ridge crests, followed by a descent through the beautiful meadows of Paradise Valley to Adams Camp. The final leg of the loop climbs gradually through alternating forest and meadows to end with a stroll across the enchanting Upper Gardner Meadow. This hike is at its best between mid-July and early August, when snow still lingers on the trail. The snow may make walking harder but it keeps the cattle out and the seasonal creeks still flow with vigor, providing numerous campsites with water."
