Salt Creek Beach Park

Salt Creek Beach Park Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Salt Creek Beach Park is a 1 .5-mile-long beach strand that stretches between Dana Point and Three Arch Cove in South Laguna. The popular surfing beach is divided by a point, on which the Ritz Carlton Hotel is perched.

A paved pedestrian path leads through the Ritz Carlton Hotel grounds to Bluff Park, a seven-acre sloping grassland park with benches and picnic tables overlooking the beach. It is a great spot to view migrating gray whales and Catalina Island. A paved path follows the bluffs, with stairways and paths leading down to the beach."

This is one of the most scenic hikes in the area. The trails are paved and family friendly with just enough hills to add a little difficulty. On a good day you get great views of the crystal clear water at Salt Creek plus Catalina Island in the background.
