I did this trails on Memorial Day. My first time on this trail. It's a nice trails with decent climes and nice downhills. The Hunter's Point is a must see. The view is amazing from the top. You can see the whole peninsula, including SF.
When you are doing the loop, and you are on the Hayfield Trail, don't do our mistake and go down toward Regnart Road. It's a very nice and steep downhill, but the steepness is the same on the way up too (not fun).
    Enjoy.

I would be psyched if I lived in Silcone Valley and had this out my back door. With that said, it is moslty dirt road and wide easy singletrack. It is a great place for a beginner or to get a quick workout in. You can make the most of some water breaks as jumps. It is quite scenic as well on a good day.

Good trail, not too long, lots of short hill climbs. Fantastic view of the bay area from the top, I could see San Francisco, Oakland, and past San Jose! Part of it closed off (near the end, only open to hikers) at the moment due to a landslide.
