Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Located in a grove of tall Douglas firs at the confluence of Patrick Creek and the Middle Fork of the Smith River, the campground features rock walls, steps, and facilities built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s.

Large steelhead are caught here, but only by expert anglers. And like nearby Grassy Flat Campground (6), it is closed during the best fishing season. Elevation 848 feet. Stay limit 14 days. Open mid-June to early-September."
