This Preserve is quite remote and as a result, as Jane describes in the trail description, provides for some good solitude. For the most part, this is pretty much standard status quo for preserves including plenty of rolling hills, nicely graded paths and plenty to look at (including a pretty cool view of the Valley floor at one point). One thing to note, the Coyote Trail on the backside of this trail is rather steep and on a warm day can really sap you of strength, especially at the end of the hike. If you did the "add on" portion she talks about in this hike description, you end up doing over 6 miles. While that's no major hike, that last 1.5 miles makes it all the more tougher. Still, can't beat this workout and the clean, clear air!
