Detailed Trail Descriptions from Our Guidebooks

"Los Piños Peak, located about three miles as the hawk flies from the southeast corner of Orange County where it meets both San Diego and Riverside counties, offers terrific clear-day vistas and is well worth the moderate hike. From the summit, the hiker looks down to Lake Elsinore and up at snow-capped Mt. Baldy and the high peaks of the San Gabriel Mountains, as well as over to the San Bernardino Mountains and San Jacinto Mountains. Gaze west over miles of hills and valleys to the great blue Pacific. The wary trekker might suspect that such a view would come at enormous cost but in the case of Los Piños Peak, only a modest effort is required in order to earn this rewarding panorama."
