Devil Canyon

Devil Canyon Professional Review and Guide

"A surprisingly cool and pleasant retreat just back of the hot, dry northwest corner of the San Fernando Valley, Devil Canyon sports abundant growths of live oak and willow and a small, intermittent stream.

Fire and flood have long since removed almost all traces of an old auto road in the canyon; in its place hikers and mountain bikers have beaten down a narrow trail. Come here in the early spring to enjoy the blooming ceanothus on the hillsides, or in winter (wear an old pair of shoes) if you don’t mind tramping through lots of good, clean mud."
