Deep Creek carves a dramatic canyon through the desert slopes of the northern San Bernardino Mountains before emptying into the Mojave River. Although it flows through parched country, the creek and its many tributaries drain such a broad watershed that the water runs reliably year round. This hike follows a section of the PCT overlooking Deep Creek and then dips down to reach a pool.
