Carpinteria Bluffs and Seal Sanctuary Professional Review and Guide
"The Carpinteria Bluffs and Seal Sanctuary is an incredible spot. The bluffs encompass 52 oceanside acres with grasslands and eucalyptus groves. The area has panoramic views from the Santa Ynez Mountains to the islands of Anacapa, Santa Cruz and Santa Rosa. At the cliff’s edge, 100 feet above the ocean, is an overlook of the seal sanctuary. Below, a community of harbor seals play in the water, lounge and sunbathe on the rocks and shoreline. The sanctuary is a protected birthing habitat for harbor seals during the winter and spring from December 1 through May 31."
