Rocky Point

Rocky Point Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Rocky Point is a dramatic rock formation jutting out to sea with powerful waves crashing against the rocks. The point is located just south of Kasler Point and is accessed directly from Highway 1 . The point has a series of summits and overlooks with amazing coastal views that include Rocky Creek Bridge, spanning 500 feet and hovering 1 50 feet above the creek; the Point Sur Lightstation, jutting out to sea a few miles to the south; and the scalloped coastline and offshore rocks. This area can be hazardous due to large, sporadic waves and jagged rocky ledges. Step carefully and use extreme caution. Parking is available at the trailhead for patrons of the Rocky Point Restaurant, cutting 0.8 miles off the round trip mileage."
