Rancho Loop: Cooper Ranch Addition Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"The most widely used trailhead for Garland Ranch Regional Park is at the park’s northeast end, directly off of Carmel Valley Road. A visitor center, ranger station, and museum are located near the entrance. Hikes 65–71 begin from this trailhead. The Cooper Ranch addition, at the northwest end of GarlandRanch Park, is one of two sections of the park that are open to mountain biking. (The Kahn Ranch addition, at the south end of the park, is also open to biking.) The ranch is bordered by a forested wildlife habitat reserve and a large eucalyptus grove to the north. The Santa Lucia Mountains lie to the south. The Rancho Loop circles Cooper Field, a large grassy meadow at the base of the towering mountains, then climbs into the forested foothills."
