Hitchcock Loop: Kahn Ranch Addition Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Kahn Ranch, a new addition to Garland Ranch Regional Park, sits at the southern end of the park in the hills above Carmel Valley Village. The ranch covers 1 ,1 00 acres and is open to bikes, horses, dogs, and hikers. The Hitchcock Loop climbs up Hitchcock Canyon (a stream-fed drainage), crosses Osborne Ridge, and returns via an open hillside slope with scenic mountain overlooks. En route, the trail visits Fern Falls, a 25-foot waterfall with two pools in a forested, rock-walled box canyon. Another spur trail leads to Stock Pond, a small pond in a ravine. An access permit from the Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District is required to enter the ranch. Contact information is in- cluded above."
