Garrapata Beach and Bluff Trail

Carmel, California

Garrapata Beach and Bluff Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Garrapata Beach lies to the south of Soberanes Point along the coastal end of the 2,879-acre Garrapata State Park. The pristine beach is a half-mile crescent of white sand with rocky tidepools. At the south end, Garrapata Creek empties into the Pacific through a granite gorge. A trail follows the bluffs through an ice plant meadow above the beach. Stairways access the beach for a walk along the water. The beautiful sandy strand is an unofficial clothing-optional beach."

This is low energy - and cool. The restaurant is very good, fabulous view, good beer, reasonable, then - hey - go hike!! Very loose and over-all good experience, very little time investment - and good.
