Garrapata Beach lies to the south of Soberanes Point along the coastal end of the 2,879-acre Garrapata State Park. The pristine beach is a half-mile crescent of white sand with rocky tide- pools. At the south end, Garrapata Creek empties into the Pacific through a granite gorge. A trail follows the bluffs through an ice plant meadow above the beach. Stairways access the beach for a walk along the water. The beautiful sandy strand is an unofficial clothing-optional beach.
