Beautiful views but one of the worse maintained trails I have ever experienced. Trail markers in disrepair, trails are overgrown. Parts of the trail are difficult to find even with a map and a compass. The first part of the trail through the forested area is absolutely beautiful. After the trail moves beyond the campground, it's difficult to find the switchback that take you to the bottom of the hill. We found them after about an hour of searching. However, at the bottom of the hill, it was extremely overgrown and not marked. Poison oak covered most of the trail at the bottom of the hill. If you started at the trail head and hiked to the campground then walked back on the paved road, you could still have a beautiful hike.
